Your gateway to becoming a globally recognised snowsports instructor. BASI Level 1 is the foundation of the international BASI pathway — designed for skiers and snowboarders who want to transform their skills into a professional career. Through focused technical training and structured teaching practice, you’ll learn how to deliver safe, effective lessons and understand the core principles that define BASI’s worldwide reputation. This level establishes strong technique, introduces modern teaching methodology, and prepares you for real-mountain development leading into Level 2. Work-permit opportunities: • Japan • South Korea • Switzerland (Ski-Counsellor visa route) Requirements: • 35 hours Snowsports School Experience • Valid First Aid Certificate • Safeguarding Children Module • BASI Membership
